 What is hypnosis?

Hypnosis is an altered state of awareness that we have all experienced many times before, for example when engrossed in reading a book and losing track of time, or simply when becoming lost in a daydream.  The Hypnotherapist assists the client into this natural state and uses the natural suggestibility to bring about positive therapeutic changes, aided by the clients willingness, imagination and co-operation to bring such changes into effect.

How does hypnosis feel?

People are often surprised or even disappointed at how natural they feel in hypnosis.  Some may still believe or even expect to be “unconscious”, “out” or “not in control” or somehow unaware of what is happening, this is never the case and it is a relaxing and fulfilling experience.
