Frequently Asked QuestionsTable of ContentsHow many sessions will I need? How long and how much are the sessions? Will I remember what happened? Your Question not answered? Please call (07879 652520) or Email Marie Marie@hypno.org.uk What is hypnosis?Hypnosis is an altered state of awareness that we have all experienced many times before, for example when engrossed in reading a book and losing track of time, or simply when becoming lost in a daydream. The Hypnotherapist assists the client into this natural state and uses the natural suggestibility to bring about positive therapeutic changes, aided by the clients willingness, imagination and co-operation to bring such changes into effect. How many sessions will I need? There is no way to predict how many sessions a client will need as everybody is treated as an individual and work towards their goals at their own pace, although changes are usually recognized by the client after the first couple of sessions. How long and how much are the sessions?Sessions last for approximately 1 hour, although the first session tends to be slightly longer. The cost of the sessions are £40 per hour. Is hypnosis safe?Yes – hypnosis is perfectly safe and nobody ever does anything , or can be made to do anything that they don’t want to do in this natural state, the client is always in complete control. How does hypnosis work?Hypnosis works by quietening the chatter that naturally occurs from the conscious mind in everyday life and enabling access to the subconscious part of the mind which is responsible for individuals more deep rooted issues. How does hypnosis feel?People are often surprised or even disappointed at how natural they feel in hypnosis. Some may still believe or even expect to be “unconscious”, “out” or “not in control” or somehow unaware of what is happening, this is never the case and it is a relaxing and fulfilling experience. Will hypnosis work for me?Hypnosis can work for anyone who is a willing participant in the process and who wants to make the necessary changes to enhance their lives. Will I remember what happened?Yes – the conscious mind will always remember what happened during hypnosis and the client is still very much in control. Last revised: 7th Sept 2006 |
